About Us
Our Mission
Our mission is to model and share practices designed to strengthen organizational culture
Who We Are
Founded in 2023 by Dr. Andrew Kuo, Dr. Alex Torres, and Dr. Emma Gist, the Amped Institute stands at the forefront of educational and organizational development. Our roots lie in the innovative work of Humanities Amped, a non-profit that advanced culturally responsive and healing-centered practices in Baton Rouge public schools. Building on this legacy, the Amped Institute extends these principles through research and practice, striving to model and share practices designed to strengthen organizational culture.
Our Core Values
Our approach is grounded in three core values that inform every aspect of our work:
Beloved Community
We believe in creating spaces where everyone feels valued, heard, and connected.
Healing Justice
Our programs are designed to foster environments that support healing, resilience, and empowerment.
Deep Imagination
We encourage creative and unconventional thinking to address complex challenges.
